As many of you know I “love” Sterilite Bins- I have them in black and white. I do purchase them from Wal-mart as you can get them shipped to site in bundles and usually save a few $$$.
Pretty soon they will have them in various colors, but I like to stick to plain old white & black as it coordinates with any theme and you can easily add some color with your interior labels.
I have found that copying labels onto cardstock and labeling them helps them to stay fresh all year. I adhere them to the “inside” of my drawers with clear tape.
I am updating my bin labels this year to coordinate with my polka dot theme.
Click one of the pictures below to head on over to my TPT store and snag these up for your own room 30 labels for $2
Simply print, laminate, adhere
I will randomly pick a comment tonight at 11 p.m.
Always,
Melissa
I love cute labels! Makes a huge difference having things labeled and looking good! I'd like to do a little more organizing like what you have done this summer. The sterlite bins labeled month by month is something I'll probably start with.
ReplyDeleteI love the new labels! They would definitely fit with my color scheme for next year!

I love the bins and labels. I've been trying to figure out new organization ideas for my classroom. If you don't mind me asking what do you put in each month's bin? I know everybody does it differently. Some put themes, some put bulletin board items, etc. Thanks for sharing.

The Teacher's Backpack
Hi Cara-
DeleteI store monthly items such as holiday pencils, stickers, foam pieces for crafts, holiday printer paper, special holiday/theme books. Larger items I store in X-Large tote style containers. If you go back a few posts, I added my polka dot TOTE labels free. You can snag them up. I think organizing is up to the teacher- We all have different styles, but you need to figure out what works for you!! I have tried many different things and this has worked successfully for me the last few years that's why I feel confident sharing and blogging about it!
Good Luck
Melissa
Thanks so much for replying. I teach 3 different grades each day, so I would have a lot of stuff in the bins if I put units in them or I would have a ton of the drawers. I will definitely check out the TOTE labels. Thanks for your suggestions.

I love the new labels! I could definitely use them setting up my new classroom this year. My goal is to be as organized as I possibly can as a first year teacher.
ReplyDeleteLove your labels. I just started labeling my room after 7 years of teaching thanks to your other "freebie" labels! My room is starting to look great!
ReplyDeletekluxon@dist50.net
These are fabulous, Melissa! I just ordered the black Sterilite 3-drawer carts - 2 sets for 4 total. I got 4 sets of the wide drawers last year for each unit of my reading series (Treasures) with an "extra" drawer to spare! This worked so well that I wanted to organize "stuff" this year. Your labels are PERFECT and will fit right into my jungle theme. Polka dots go with most everything! :)
